Connect Family Resource Hub

Our Family Resource Hub is being created to offer practical support to families in our community who may be struggling. The hub will provide essential items such as clothes, nappies, toiletries and baby equipment for parents and carers facing financial hardship or crisis.

We’ll begin by opening one day a week and taking referrals from the local food bank and other community organisations. As we grow, we plan to work closely with midwives, health visitors, the children’s centre and other support services. Our aim is to reach around 200 families in our first year.

At the moment, there are no baby banks in the East Riding, and limited transport makes it difficult for families to access support in nearby cities. Our hub will offer a local, reliable point of help when families need it most.

We expect to support several families each week to start with, and hope to expand this as referrals increase.
